Rosli

SMS program

Rosli text messages: who gets them and how they opt in.

One page for carriers, regulators, and anyone who received a text from Rosli. Plain words, no form to fill in.

Cookie And Us LLC, doing business as Rosli, operates an AI phone receptionist for insurance agencies and small service offices. Rosli sends SMS from the phone numbers it assigns to each office. Every message is transactional and tied to a phone call; Rosli never sends marketing or promotional texts and never buys or shares contact lists.

Who receives texts

  • Office owners and staff who opted in on the sign-up form: a short summary when the receptionist takes a message, a one-line alert when a caller hangs up before finishing, and occasional service notices about their own account.
  • Callers who want to book a time with the office and say yes when the receptionist asks whether it may text them the scheduling link: one text with that link.

How office staff opt in

Consent is collected on the sign-up form at rosli.ai/get-started, step 1 (“You”), directly under the cell field and visible as soon as the page loads, from the person signing the office up. The cell field is optional and never pre-filled, and the consent box is unchecked by default. This is what the person sees:

Sign-up form step 1: the optional field “Cell for call-summary texts” and the unchecked box “Text call summaries to my cell” with the SMS disclosure under it

The box is labeled “Text call summaries to my cell” and the disclosure directly under it reads:

By checking this box you agree to receive call-summary text messages from Rosli at the number above. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. See our SMS terms and privacy policy.

Texts are sent only if the box is checked and a valid mobile number is entered. When the form is submitted we store the number, the consent, and the date and time it was given. An office can also opt a staff member in later by written request to support@rosli.ai, which we keep as the consent record.

How callers opt in

A caller dials the office’s published phone number and reaches the Rosli receptionist, which says at the start of the call that it is an automated assistant. A caller receives a text only after saying yes to a direct question during that call. The full script:

  1. The caller wants to book a time with the office (a discovery call, an interview, an appointment).
  2. The receptionist asks for the caller’s name and the best number to reach them, and reads the number back.
  3. The receptionist asks: “May I text the booking link to this number?”
  4. If the caller says yes, the receptionist says: “The booking link is on its way by text to (the number) and by email to (the email the caller gave), so you can pick a time,” and one text with the link is sent to that number after the call. If the caller says no, or does not answer, no text is sent and the link goes by email only.
  5. Nothing else is ever sent to a caller.

The caller’s answer is recorded with the call, and each send is logged with the caller’s number, the time, and the call it belongs to. No keyword opt-in, web form, or purchased list is used for callers.

Sample call transcript

The caller path as it sounds on a real call (names and numbers are examples):

Receptionist: Thanks for calling Riverside Insurance Agency. I’m the automated assistant, and this call may be recorded. How can I help?

Caller: I’d like to set up a time to talk with someone about my policy.

Receptionist: Happy to help. What’s your full name?

Caller: Maria Lopez.

Receptionist: Thanks, Maria. I have your number as 425-555-0142. Is that the best number for you?

Caller: Yes.

Receptionist: May I text the booking link to this number?

Caller: Yes, that’s fine.

Receptionist: Great. What’s the best email address for you?

Caller: maria@example.com.

Receptionist: The booking link is on its way by text to 425-555-0142 and by email to maria@example.com, so you can pick a time. Is there anything else?

Caller: No, that’s all. Thanks.

If Maria had answered “no” to the text question, the link would have gone by email only and no text would have been sent.
